August 5th Club Meeting

Today our speaker was Lynda Zelenka from Cy-Hope. Lynda spoke to us about things the organization is doing in the Cy-Fair school district including the Backpack Program, Camp Lemonade and Hope Centers. www.cy-hope.org

Club Announcements

1) District Governor visit for our club is on September 30th.

2) The next Board Meeting is next Monday, August 12th at 11:00am. The meeting will be directly before our regular meeting at Carl's BBQ.

3) Today the club granted $500 to two former Jersey Village Interact members towards their college tuition and fees. The recipients were Joseph Loung and Amanda Torres.

4) Membership Seminar is this Saturday, August 10th at San Jacinto College from 8:30am to 12:30pm. If you are interested in attending and want to carpool please contact Mike Castro.

Good News

1) Andrea Wiley - Returned from her first mission trip in in Cochabamba, Bolivia. (Yes I looked it up) She enjoyed it and her husband said he would do it again.

2) Ray Young - Sunday he moved Kaitlin's furniture to Waco to begin discipleship training for a community church. Abbey and Faith are starting another year at Baylor. Ray and Shelley will be sending lots of money to Waco, TX.

3) Gwen Durrenberger - So glad to see Santa Claus. Yes, you read that right Santa was at our meeting today.

4) Santa Claus - Happy to announce that the 501(c)(3) has been approved for Lone Star Santas. Only 142 more days until Christmas! (Ok I couldn't resist adding that part.)

5) Mike Castro - Happy to see former Jersey Village Interactor members Joey and Amanda.

6) Charlie Durrenberger - Went to see their good friends in New Braunfels and no hiccups happened.

7) Marianne Beran-Terrell - Her husband had his first real estate listing and has a potential buyer. He is very excited about it.
