Board Meeting
Posted by Vicki Rowe
A lot was accomplished at this meeting.
Gary gave the attendance report as 66%
There was no treasurer's report because the treasurer's job is not being done by anyone at this point. Tom is going to do everything he can to get us back to having an effective way of billing and paying our bills.
Jim Hutchison went over the membership numbers, which are good. We have two new members who need to be inducted and that will happen in two weeks since we have the split meeting next week.
Keith, our incoming president, gave out the organizational chart and told everyone what his/her responsibilities involved. You may be contact in the near future about serving on a subcommittee. Our goal is to involve as many people as possible in the Club's planning and activities.
Since Ray Young was not able to attend the meeting, we assume that we will be hearing something about the brisket fundraiser very soon. We know that the event is rapidly approaching and hope that everyone is trying to sell those briskets. The board would like to have a flyer for everyone to take around to friends and family to help sell them. If anyone would like to work on that, please contact Ray Young.
Keith said that two people spoke with him about assuming duties on the organizational chart. If you would like to volunteer to help lead/run the club, please speak with Keith. We have lots of openings!
Future board meetings will be held at 5:30 on the second Tuesday of every month at Keith's office.
The board voted to get a new PO box for our mail. We have been using St. Aidan's Episcopal Church's address, but found out that the PO box is not expensive and would be more centrally located for easier access.
