We had eight guests at the meeting. They were Jerry Calvert, Steve Durham, Susan Culp, Wayne Beaumier, Cindy Deering (guest of Marie Holmes), Tiffany Cady Moore, Trip Gulley, and Deane Hafling.

Many members shared good news with the club.
Wayne Beaumier was present with a banner that apparently he owed Sammy Tao who had "gnomed" his club, Bear Creek Copperfield, last week. Thanks for bringing it over, Wayne! (See picture)

Jim Hutchison told us that if we did not attend Brenham's Hot Nights Cool Tunes, we missed a great time. He took his family and thoroughly enjoyed this Rotary event. We should all plan to go next year.

D. Ray was sporting a fashionable sombrero, purchased for him by the District Governor on the Nicaragua trip on the condition that he wear it in Nicaragua. Several people commented on the decoration which closely remembled a longhorn. He will be sharing details of his trip later this month.

Keith attended his nephew's daughter's baptism and enjoyed it immensely. Apparently, it was a standout in his memories of family time with his in-laws.

Vicki shared that she has a new job. She will be working for a textbook company in the fall.

Mike was delighted that Verna is doing so well after the scare she gave him. She only turned out to have high cholesterol.

Tom gave a dollar for Steve Durham, a frequent visitor whom we hope will be applying for membership in the near future.
