Members shared some Good News at the August 17th meeting. The picture shows Gary and Ou having a great time at the restaurant Friday night. A little "forced family fun," right, Gary?
Vicki Botkin mentioned that she would be gone next week due to a trip to Arkansas to check out some retirement property. She also pointed out that membership dues notices were handed out and that those that weren't present would receive a copy through the mail.
Vicki Rowe shared that Glynn Knight would be doing the Good News article for the Club Bulletin.
Ray Young indicated that the Roaming Gnome was at work again and that he had visited the Washigton County Rotary Club. Marilyn Farrell mentioned her recent attendance at the Champion Sunrise Rotary Club.
Tiffany Moore pointed out that today was her husband's first day on his new job.
Tom Benson informed everyone that the Friday dinner with Glen Rowe was very enjoyable.
Alan Brevard wanted to remind everybody about the Cy-Fair ISD Bus Buddy training today and encouraged members to participate in the program. Justin Lindstrom informed everyone about the wonderful Disney World cruise his family recently completed.
Former Rotary District Governor Jeff Tallas vouched for Justin Lindstrom's good showing at the recent Sugar Land Rotary Club meeting.
Dr Sammy Tao was pleased to announce that his family was back from a two month vacation.

Justin Jenkins announced his recent promotion and
Keith Peterson thanked member Loyd Culp for being a "silver-tongued angel." Keith's secretary mailed some documents before Keith had the opportunity to check the amount of postage to be sure it was correct. Lloyd was able to talk the postal clerk into giving him back mail that had already been mailed! This is a tribute to Lloyd's powers of persuasion and his dedication to Keith's well-being. He saved Keith 3 hours of re-doing the documents.
