Good, No GREAT, News

The best news was having Ted Lewis back, but there was much more that people shared.
Stan's youngest son is arriving for a visit.
David celebrated being here two weeks in a row! His guest, Sonny, drove down from Dallas to do some estimating of flood damage and came with David to the meeting. He also thanked D. Ray for doing such a great job with the fundraiser.
Alan also thanked D. Ray - for calling him at the deer lease in Junction on Saturday morning to tell him to pick up his briskets! Then he thanked his wife, Stacy, for picking them up.
Tom recognized Sandra Peterson's help in delivering the briskets, announced that we had raised over $2,000 for malnourished children in Africa, and proudly remembered that he has a 23rd anniversary coming up this week. His lovely wife, Chris, was at the meeting.
Ray shared the news that he had accidentally delivered two extra briskets to Boys and Girls Country and extended the opportunity to the club to donate the money to cover those. Charlie passed the onion ring basket and collected for that worthy cause.
Ray also shared the really good news that his daughter, Sandra, is just out of a drug rehab program and has turned her life around. He asked if anyone knew of a job she could apply for, to let him know.
Ted said that it was great to be back. He thanked Ray also for the timely brisket sale that enabled him to treat the graduation class of firefighters to a wonderful meal on Saturday at the college. He thanked Vicki for the e-bulletin which has helped him stay in touch with the club's doings. He also commented that he is delighted to see so many new Rotarians even though he now has to learn their names. I would like to encourage him to use our photo directory on the web site to do his homework!
