Our club members shared lots of good news this week, but the bad news is that we were down to 67% attendance. We need to get that number back up. Hopefully some of you who were not there on Monday will make up this week either on line or at another club. You can find out when and where clubs meet by checking the links to the left or the download pages at the bottom right on our web site's home page.
Alan shared that his Father's Day gift which he received early was a Kindle. He says it is a fabulous invention that actually reads aloud to you while you are driving home from the deer lease.

Justin L. plugged the Kindle as well; he read two books on it at church camp this past week. He and Susan will be enjoying a second honeymoon in Mexico this next week.

Gwen had a lengthy "blood transfusion" at her family reunion this past weekend.

Stan's wife and sister did a "Princess Camp" for 5- to 10-year-old girls at their church, so Stan is a bit OD'ed on Pepto Bismol pink, but he pronounced it a success. His father had a by-pass operation this past week which went great.

Jim exulted that the Aggie men and women both won track and field championships this past week. Whoop!

Despite the fact that she has turned 62, Sue's doctor told her that she has the brain of a 40-year-old, but the bad news is that she must lose 30 pounds. We wish her well with that!

Tom congratulated everyone on the successful road clean-up. Mike and Lisa Castro did a great job of coordinating that and all the volunteers pitched in and made the project fun. Tom's son, Travis, entered an invitational decathlon and Tom enjoyed 2 days in the sun cheering him on.

Ray was proud of Shelly's softball team for winning their tournament.

Tom's presidential announcements included the fact that everyone will be receiving invoices since the board meeting. If the invoice is inaccurate, please inform either Glen Rowe, acting treasurer, or Vickie Botkin, the incoming treasurer.

Tom also reminded us about the Small Steps Park Demolition, which Mike Hoke says has changed to power washing and working in flower beds. Please sign up online for this event.
