Our visitors included Marilyn Farrell, Sherry Worsham, Dale and Sherry's daughter, Whitnie and her adorable son, Rhett. Gary Smith was a guest of Mike Hoke's; Steve Durham came as a guest of Gary and Tom; and Dr. Andrew Garcia was there as Dr. Sammy Tao's guest. We hope to see many of these guests return and possibly join! Other guests included our speaker, Rhonda Bender, her husband, Steve, and Jeff Burden.
Good news shared with the club:

Justin Lindstrom enjoyed his vacation with his family and has hired a new clergyman at St. Aidan's to help him out. He was glad to be back, but shared the bad news that the Boys and Girls Country Springfest last weekend had to be cancelled due to rain.

Tom told us how excited he is that the Disrict Conference next year will be in Houston. Everyone can attend!

Marilyn Farrell said that she was "glad to have survived tax season!" We all congratulated her.

Glen told about his losing his money clip in Lake Charles, giving up on finding it and cancelling his credit cards, and then returning home to learn that a man had found the money clip, looked up his name and phone number on the internet, and wanted to return his property.

Dale shared the not so good news that Joyce Meek is in hospice. Her husband Alan was a member of our club a number of years ago and needs our support. They live at Smith Point.

Vickie Botkin was in Hawaii last week which was great, but her husband, Kim, lost his credit card (conveniently) right before they left, so she ended up putting the trip on hers. Vickie and I see a pattern here! Paulette says, "They talk."

Gwen told how much fun we all had at the District Conference at L'auberge du Lac and applauded Sandra Peterson for the great backboard display of our club's activities.

Glynn Knight shared the fantastic news that he will be able to be back for the summer and possibly permanently. He thanked Vicki for the e-bulletin that has helped him keep in touch.
