November 11th Club Meeting

Today’s speaker was Robert Rasa with the Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department. Robert gave a detailed presentation on fire safety in the home.

Club Announcements

1. In observance of Veterans’ Day everyone was asked to bring pictures of family and loved ones in the service:

            -Virginia: Shared a silk escape map of France, a photo of her father and children and some insignia from WWII and a newspaper when the Nazi’s surrendered.

            -Gwen: Shared a photo of Charlie

            -Marilyn: Shared a photo of her two uncles from the service and a copy of a Christmas card one wrote when in the service.

            -Mike: Shared his Westpoint Senior Yearbook

            -Jerry was in the Army

            -Marianne’s husband was in the Airforce

Thank you to everyone who served!

2. The fundraiser was a great success! Final numbers will be coming soon from Mike.

3. Next week we will hold a silent auction for the left over auction items during our Rotary meeting.

4. CAM PACK WEEK: 5pm Friday AND Saturday 9am for Thanksgiving Boxes

5. We are still looking for a new home for our exchange student.

Good News

1. Alan Brevard- Aggies won! Texans did a great job! Ray and Shelly came over and watched the game…thanks to the club for the remaining beverages in their garage.

2. Marilyn Farrell- Thanks to the Aggies for defeating Alabama for LSU. Glad the fundraiser was successful. Thankful for delayed and safe flights and being home safe.

3. Charlie Durrenberger- UT won!
