Bear Creek-Copperfield invades Cy-Fair Rotary. Great fellowship from our neighbor. Volunteer needed to take notes for Feb 21 meeting--Keith Peterson to be absent.

D Ray Young - visited daughter Abbey over the weekend
Elaine Combs - apologized for not making meeting at which she was to speak; attended youth exchange host family appreciation dinner; our District 5890 is district of the year; Tom Benson has agreed to be treasurer for youth exchange
Wayne Beaumier - announced Valentine's Day dinner at Carl's BBQ with proceeds going to PolioPlus; more fundraisers to come
Gwen Durrenburger - communicated with former exchange student during Valentine's Day
Virginia Carlton - conveyed happiness to be part of the day's meeting
Tom Benson - spent time with son Travis during the weekend
Rick Stephanow - obtained great recipe for chocolate cake

Gary Gray - reminded members of CAM project this Friday, Feb 18th, at 5:00 pm
D Ray Young - announced need for volunteers at the Interact District meeting scheduled for March 5 and March 6, Channelview High School
Debbie Youens - announced fundraiser meeting for Feb 21st at 5:30 pm at Keith Peterson's office
Speaker:
Craig Bean, Win for Texas. Spoke on bringing slot machines to existing race tracks--horse and dog tracks. Benefits include $2.5 million/year in revenue, 82% favor slot machines, 85% of patrons in Oklahoma gaming locations may be from Texas, expect $8.5 billion economic effect in Texas. Some disadvantages exist but are offset by attempts to provide assistance to those who are compulsive or problem gamblers. Thank you to Craig for his insight into this current event.
