Speaker:
Craig Bean, Win for Texas. Spoke on bringing slot machines to existing race tracks--horse and dog tracks. Benefits include $2.5 million/year in revenue, 82% favor slot machines, 85% of patrons in Oklahoma gaming locations may be from Texas, expect $8.5 billion economic effect in Texas. Some disadvantages exist but are offset by attempts to provide assistance to those who are compulsive or problem gamblers. Thank you to Craig for his insight into this current event.
